What should I care while registering for CHASCON 2024?

Information regarding your Name, Organization/Institution, Participation Category, Mode of Presentation and Presenting Author, will be reflected Registration Form, Fee Receipt & Certificate of Participation. The request for any change will not be entertained.

What is the deadline for abstract submission?

The deadline for abstract submission is given in conference website, https://chascon.pu.ac.in.

Is it possible to re-submit an abstract after it has been already submitted?

No, it is not possible to re-submit abstract.

When do we know if our abstract has been selected or not?

Notification will be sent ten days before the conference through email to the candidates whose abstract has been selected.

Can non-registrants have their name in the abstract of oral or poster presentation?

Yes, non-registrant can have their name in the abstract. However, to attend the conference and get the certificate, registration is mandatory.

What will be the formats, dimensions, and time limits of oral and poster presentations?

The posters should be 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (Height). The following is the indicative format for poster. However, you are free to organize your content in a different manner. The oral presentations should include at most 15 slides. Each presenter will get 5 minutes followed by 2 minutes of discussion.

When and where will the participants collect their conference material including food passes and bags?

The conference material can be collected from the respective Section Coordinator one day before the conference. In case, you could not collect it a day before, collect it from the registration desk positioned outside the conference venue on the day of conference from 8.30 to 9.20am.

When and where will the participants collect their conference fee receipt?

Receipt of Registration fee can be downloaded from the portal after successful registration and confirmation of payment from Bank, which might take 24-48 hours.

Can a Registered participant participate in both oral and poster presentation?

No, you can make either oral or poster presentation.

In poster presentation who will get the presentation and winner certificate (especially in case of multiple authorship)?

The certificate of participation will be provided to all the attending registered authors and winner certificate will go to the presenter only.

In case of oral presentation, participation and winner certificate will go only to the presenter.

Will the certificate be provided if we do not attend the conference for all 3 days?

No certificate would be provided if you do not attend conference for all 3 days.

I am facing issue with fee payment. Whom should I contact?

You should contact Conference Secretariate at chascon2024@pu.ac.in regarding the issue faced or check Contact Us Section.

I have registered for the conference. However, I will not be able to attend it. Can I seek refund of the registration fee or can someone attend in my place?

Registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

When will I get the hardcopy of the conference proceedings?

No, hardcopy of the conference proceedings will be published. However, a compilation of the presented abstracts in the form of Abstract Book can be downloaded from the conference website.

Will CHASCON offer any temporary stay arrangements for participants coming from long distances?

Limited accommodation on sharing basis will be provided in the University Guest House depending on availability with advance booking and payment @ 500 per day per person.

However, number of Hotels are available near Panjab University at reasonable charges.

How to reach Panjab University?

The Chandigarh Transport Bus services & Cabs services through Apps are available in Chandigarh. The distance from Airport to Panjab University is around 17 Km, from railway station 15Km and from bus stand 8Km.
